I took Christopher to his very first movie this past Friday.

It's kind of sad that he is 4 1/2 years old and has never set foot in a movie theater, but we just never find the time . . . or the money :)
His Auntie JJ works there so we got to go (for free!!!) to see How To Train Your Dragon.

In 3D!
Wow.
When I think of 3D I think :

This new 3D is so amazing.
I was totally blown away.
I doubt Christopher was as impressed. These kids born with all this technology are hard to impress!! He loved the movie theater though and we had lots of fun.
Of course, he couldn't go through the whole movie without embarrassing mom a little bit.
Before the movie, the little blurb came on about turning off cell phones, etc.
You know the drill.
It said "Thank you for being courteous and for choosing Regal Entertainment" (or something like that).
Christopher, nonchalantly yells out "You're welcome!"
Of course everyone was laughing, including me and Auntie JJ.
He's one polite guy.
It was so fun spending time with my little man for the day.

You guys are so cute! How was the movie by the way? I bet you looked amazing in your 3D glasses. 3D movies make me super dizzy so if Dave wants to see one he goes by himself. Plus they are super expensive. I'm glad you had fun!
How fun! I still remember going to my first movie with my mom. It was "Snow White" when they re-released it in the 80s, and we saw it at the Colonial Theater back when it was a movie theater, I think.
Hooooly cow, Jessica! That was the first movie I saw and it was at the Colonial Theater. It was destiny.
Too cute! When Karin was little we went to see Sleeping Beauty. The Portland Temple was under construction not far from our house and when the Sleeping Beauty Castle appeared she yelled, "Look! The temple!!" Our non-LDS neighbor got a real laugh out of that one. :)
How cute! I bet that was a fun little mother-son date.
That first picture is awesome - I love the wide eyes! Allen and I saw that movie on Wednesday afternoon without the kids so that we won't be frustrated when we take them to see it and don't get to watch the whole thing. Now we just have to figure out a time for the kids to go see it...
