Fall Crafts

Okay . . . this post is mainly for my mom! So, all of you crafty crafters out there need to discontinue reading!! This is what I do when I am bored, have no money, and no materials for crafts. I find things around the house and from nature. I know, it sounds thrifty and kinda Martha Stewartish, but don't be too impressed :) I made a Happy Halloween sign from one of our numerous moving boxes and some old scrapbooking paper. Then, Christopher and I made this autumn leaf picture from the leaves he stuffed into his shirt, his pants, and his hair as we took a walk this morning. He was very very proud. And, frankly, I am too! He picks some pretty leaves! So, there you go!

P.S. Sorry the pictures are so horrible!

Rainy Days

There is nothing Christopher and I like doing more on a RaInY day than making cookies. Too bad it rains soooo much here . . . . . . . . .

I may be in TROUBLE!

The Beach!!

We went on our last big adventure before Davin starts work and it was a good one! We took a short trip to the coast and it was perfect. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time. We went to Cannon Beach and played in the water, built sandcastles, and ended the day in Seaside with some ice cream. This is the life . . . . . .

Oh Wait!

I forgot to add something to my list of zoo goers down below. The person who takes too many pictures of their kids at the zoo. Oh wait! That's me!!!!!

The Portland Zoo!

We took a trip to the Portland Zoo today and Christopher had a fabulous time. He got to ride the train to the zoo, see lots of animals, and even take a ride on the zoo's small train. While at the zoo, I decided there are 4 main types of zoo goers.

1. The safari goer. The people dressed in safari gear, including the safari hat, the khaki shorts, and the hiking boots. The zoo's terrain can be brutal.

2. The photographer. The people with the gigantic cameras pushing their way through to get that rare picture of the tiger lying in the shade that every other dinky camera holding person has also taken. Who are you showing these pictures to?

3. The stroller moms. The women lugging a 5 seat stroller, the cooler, the umbrella, the diaper bag, the snacks, the drinks, and her 5 kids including triplets.

4. The "normal" people. That would be us I guess. We just try our hardest to get to most of the displays. Even if that means passing by all the safari goers, photographers, and stroller moms waiting in line for the baby elephant. Yes! We passed up the baby elephant!! Us, and all the "normal people" who didn't want to wait in the 2 hour line!
