The Moment You've All Been Waiting For . . .

Wow!

Thanks to all who voted on my last post. I looooove input! I'm sure most of you were just looking for the I just check this blog to see if you're alive option. Sorry, I forgot to add one.
I've tallied the votes and the winner is . . . . . All of you!!! Don't YOU feel special. I thought the idea of doing them all on different days sounded like fun.

But, before the party begins . . . .

We've upgraded!

Remember this post?

Now we have a delightful 6ft, 20 bucks, Walmart tree.

Hey, I didn't say it was an INCREDIBLE upgrade. It makes us very happy none the less.

I do think the quote from that post still applies.

"Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree. In the eyes of children, they are all thirty feet tall." Larry Wilde

Okay, here we go!

The first post idea I had was - A rant, a pet peeve, or politics. Well, I think one of my biggest pet peeves may fit all three categories.

I HATE CELEBRITY PERSUASION!

Oooohhh. It really gets me going. You know what I'm talking about, right?

The celebrity telling us common folk who to vote for, that we are slobs and need to buy hybrids, that we have no culture, that we don't care about human rights. C'mon!

I hope people out there are not too lazy to form their own opinions and take advice from TRUSTED sources. Just because a celebrity may have an admirable face does not mean he/she has admirable viewpoints.

I don't hear a thing coming out of their mouths unless it is in a movie. And, a GOOD movie. So, all you celebrities out there who I KNOW read my blog. I'm not listening!

I do try to listen to my kids advice though :)

Christopher so kindly reminded me what we should be grateful for this Thanksgiving on his paper from primary.

I will try. I will try.

What are your pet peeves and what do you think about Celebrity Persuasion?
I wanna know!

Hmmm-One of my pet peeves also has to do with celebrities. I wish I never had to look at another magazine at the grocery store with pictures of Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and Jennifer Aniston and whatever fake drama they create about them this week. I really don't care! I never have and I never will! They have been printing the same story over and over for years now. And dear Americans, stop buying this trash! Maybe then they would stop printing them and placing them directly in front of my face every time I go to the store.
How is that for a pet peeve?

Oh, Amber. Couldn't agree with you more!

Well...I, as a celebrity, am highly offended by this post.

I knew you would Shayla, but it HAD to be said.

I agree with you Kristin about the celebrity persuasion. I mean why should I vote for Obama just because Oprah is obsessed with him (I didn't even vote by the way and I don't really have an opinion on Obama-that was just an example).

One of my many pet peeves that deal with driving (not that I am the most amazing driver) is when the light turns green and it takes about 2 years for the chain of cars to get started and by the time you get to the front the light is red. I love being the first one in line at the light because i am off like a flash when the light turns green!

Another pet peeve I just discovered is when in a bathroom (other than your own) the space is so small that you can barely get your hand into the toilet paper dispenser, and you have to do some acrobatic move to get the job done (sorry for any unwanted mental image that created).

Agreed, Kimberly. Agreed.
