There are some places we will miss here in Boise, and some of them are the amazing parks they have just right around the corner from our little place. Today we went to the Ann Morrison Park and played at the playground. Christopher swung in the swing for literally an hour. He wants to go as high as possible and he yells for everyone to hear "To infinity and beyond!" He loves Toy Story! Davin and I have very sore arms. He screamed and screamed when we finally tore him away. After that we headed over to the giant fountain where he proceeded to get very very wet. Christopher was very tired after his outing and so were Mom and Dad (especially Mom). We will miss our little outings here in Boise Idaho.

Well, I guess we won't be living with the PARANOID lady after all . . . . we had some trouble with the apartment complex. They ended up wanting to charge us more than what was agreed in the beginning. Soooo, now we are PRETTY sure that this little house is our new rental home. Kinda cute huh! Much better than the apartment apparently would have been with the wild children, the cops at all hours, and the people in swimsuits :)

Paranoia

Paranoia (par-a-NOY-a) refers to either an unreasonable fear of harm by others (delusions* of persecution) or an unrealistic sense of self-importance (delusions of grandeur). While paranoia is often associated with a severe mental illness such as schizophrenia, people without such illnesses can have paranoid feelings, think that people are talking about them, or have difficulties trusting others.

So, as you know we are moving to Portland, Oregon and to our relief, we just found somewhere to live. We are going to be in an apartment just outside Portland in Beaverton. Beaverton is probably one of the nicest areas of Portland and it is BEAUTIFUL. Anyways, online you can read reviews about your apartment complex and see why all these crazies hated every minute of living there. Well, one that we read had us laughing our heads off. Anyone can respond to the comments a person leaves and someone (a manager) responded to this PARANOID woman's comment:

Crazy Woman: Don't rent here! There are children running wild and screaming outside and the police are here everyday in the office and I know it is because of the crack heads that live here. There are men who walk around without shirts on and women in their swimming suits. Not a safe place to live.

Manager: There are children around your apartment because you live by the playground. The police officer is my brother and he stops by to use the office bathroom. And, we do have a swimming pool located in our complex.

Oh man!! I think the only person we have to fear at that place is this lady! Hilarious!

What's this?

"What's this Mom? What's that?"

Oooohhhh . . . . . it's cute until : 1. You're trying to change lanes downtown during rush hour and he is screaming it at the top of his lungs. 2. You're picking up handfuls of goldfish crackers he's spilled all over the floor at the grocery store. 3. He's stalling bed time and you are soooooo tired. 4. You're trying to carry on an important conversation on the phone. 5. You're trying to delicately glue his toy car back together without getting extra super super glue on your finger (I still have glue on my finger) 6. The list goes on and on . . . . .

P.S. At the end of the video he was pretending he had hiccups (another fun thing he does during church) Oh the joys of little boys!

Summer has been going pretty well so far considering our hot hot weather and lack of our Daddy! Davin has been busy with teaching his Accounting class, working, and studying for his CPA exam. However, today was a good day! His class is finally DONE!! Hooray! We are very proud of him and are sure he did a great job. His students had to fill out an exit exam? (whatever you call it) on Davin and only one or two totally bashed him. (One of the students just happened to be one that didn't do his homework and was failing the class . . . . . go figure) Other than that I think the students enjoyed his class! So, congratulations Davin! Christopher and I have been spending our days riding bikes outside, taking long walks, and eating lots of popsicles. Summer is great!

Hide and Seek

Playing Hide and Seek. He always picks the best spots. Hmmmmm . . . . wonder where he is?

Monday, July 7, 2008

We have all been enjoying the Olympic trials, most particularly the track and field. Hmmm . . . . wonder why? Christopher loooooves them! Daddy also loves that Christopher looooves them! All Davin has to say is "There's a race on!" and Christopher comes flying in the room screaming RACE RACE RACE!!! Davin even let Christopher miss a naptime so he could watch with him. That just shows how excited Davin is to have another track fan in the house. Christopher even cries when the channel is briefly changed. He has decided that the "yellow guy" or anyone wearing yellow should always be the winner. The video is of him practicing his running skills. Davin is hoping Christopher will be the next Olympic champion.
